Carol received her B.S. in Education from Concordia, Nebraska,
her M.M. in Organ performance from the University of Nebraska--Lincoln,
and her Doctorate of Worship Studies from the
Robert E. Webber Institute of Worship Studies.
She is a commissioned/rostered minister for the LCMS,
an active substitute organist, a writer, retreat leader,
and adjunct instructor at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska.
She serves on the American Guild of Organists Lincoln Chapter Board,
and was recently appointed to the
Board of Directors for the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians.
She has been a leader in ministry for over 35 years,
and a Retreat Leader for 15 years.
She is passionate about spiritual formation,
and has produced several Bible Study retreats using
a reimagined form of Lectio Divina
which she developed during her doctoral studies.
Prior to her move to Nebraska, she served as the Minister of Music/Organist at Bethany Lutheran Church in Long Beach, California and
Professor of Church Music at Concordia University, Irvine, CA.
She is wife to Gary; Mom to Jon (Elizabeth) Jen (Derek), Anna, and Amy (Travis);
And the very proud Nana of 4 precious boys: L & L, M & E.
